The Site
Par Sands Coastal Holiday Park is situated on the south coast of Cornwall in the picturesque St Austell Bay. The friendly Park is adjacent to a safe sandy beach the whole area is level, ideal for family holiday enjoyment and is close to all local amenities. A nature wild life reserve with Ducks, Geese, Swans and numerous visiting birds is adjacent and makes an ideal evening stroll.
On site is a Heated Indoor Swimming Pool , Tennis Courts, Crazy Golf, Bowling Green, Adventure Play Grounds, Swings, Pool Tables in a small recreation room,Covered play area, Laundrette and a Beach Café shop, for essential groceries, ice cream and beach sundries.
There is not a licensed club or amusement arcade on this quiet family holiday site.
The village is a 5min. level walk away and amenities include:- two general stores/off licence, four Take-A-Ways:- Fish & Chips, Chinese, Indian, & Sandwich shop and two Pub/Restaurants, Chemist, Post Office, Hairdressers, etc.
Just two miles from the famous ‘Eden Project’ the Biosphere tropical gardens, a Guided tour can be arranged during your stay. Cliff paths to ‘Fowey’ a quaint estuary town and ’Charlestown’ home port for tall ships and the location of many films, are excellent local places to visit.
The famous fishing port of Mevagissey is six mile away with its narrow streets and restaurants round the picturesque harbour that runs a daily ferry service to ‘Fowey’. The ‘Heligan Lost Gardens’ are also close by and are well worth the day out.
NEWQUAY the surfing capital of Cornwall is just a few miles by car or train on the north coast – the spot if you really want to get wet or just enjoy watching the water sports on the various beaches. A few miles north are the Restaurants of Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein and a little further up the coast is Port Isaac the TV home of Doc Martin.
